Job Description
Prepares detailed design drawings, schematics, layouts, and 3D CAD data for moderate to complex technical assignments with minimal supervision. Creates manufacturing, weldment, assembly, and general arrangement drawings. Executes tasks within KPIs, plans work, and estimates time. Requires basic knowledge of drafting standards, symbols, tolerances, welding, and hydraulics; intermediate CAD skills (modeling, assembly, weldment). Knowledge of valves, Creo, and Windchill is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Prepares 3d CAD data and detailed design/manufacturing/weldment/assembly/general arrangement drawings, hydraulic/electrical schematics, layouts, general arrangements and P&IDs.
- Execute the assigned tasks within required KPI's.
- Basic knowledge of drafting symbols and their application for tolerance, surface finish, fasteners, screw threads and welded joints. Requires guidance on non-routine problems.
- Intermediate knowledge of CAD software tool in the area of application, viz. modeling, assembly, drawing, weldment, etc.
- Able to plan his/her own work and provide the time estimation for the assigned tasks
- Basic knowledge of drafting and other standards governing tolerance, welding, surface finish, hydraulics symbols.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- B. Tech/B.E. Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 2 years of Design /Drafting experience.
DESIRED
- Familiarity with Mechanical industry codes/standards (e.g. ASME, ASTM, AISC etc.).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
