Job Summary We are looking for a Press Tool Design Engineer with 2–3 years of relevant experience in sheet metal press tool design. The candidate should have hands-on experience in designing automotive press tools and be proficient in Siemens NX and CATIA. The role involves complete tool design activities from concept to manufacturing support. Key Responsibilities • Design and development of sheet metal press tools such as: o Blanking tools o Piercing tools o Progressive tools o Forming and drawing tools • Preparation of complete tool design layouts and detailed drawings • Tool feasibility study based on part geometry and manufacturing requirements • Die design activities including: o Strip layout preparation o Tool construction details o Die assembly drawings • Coordination with: o Manufacturing and tool shop teams o Quality and production departments • Supporting tool manufacturing, trials, and tool modifications • Ensuring designs comply with customer standards and internal design guidelines • Handling design changes and implementation of engineering modifications Software Skills • Siemens NX (Mandatory) – Tool design, detailing, and assemblies • CATIA (Mandatory) – Part analysis and tool design support • Knowledge of 2D drafting standards and GD&T is preferred Technical Skills • Strong knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes • Understanding of press tool components and tool steels • Awareness of tolerances, fits, and machining processes • Experience in automotive press tool design is preferred Education • Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Desired Competencies • Good analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently on assigned tools • Effective communication and coordination skills • Willingness to take ownership of design deliverables Experience Preference • Exposure to automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier projects is an added advantage
