As a Junior Architect at Oculus Design Studio, you will work closely with our design and project teams to develop thoughtful, functional and engaging workplace environments.

The role provides exposure across different stages of a project — from initial research, space planning and concept development through design detailing, documentation and site coordination. We are looking for someone who is creative, technically curious, detail-oriented and eager to learn through real projects.

  • Participate in different stages of projects including research, programming, space planning, concept design, schematic design, design development and documentation.
  • Assist the team in developing workplace planning and interior design concepts based on client requirements.
  • Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, presentation drawings and construction documentation.
  • Develop 3D models and visualisations to communicate design ideas.
  • Support preparation of client presentations, mood boards, material palettes and design narratives.
  • Translate design concepts into practical and buildable design solutions.
  • Coordinate with senior designers, project managers, MEP consultants, vendors and contractors.
  • Assist with material, furniture, lighting and finish research and selection.
  • Participate in site visits to understand execution, construction details and design implementation.
  • Support the team in reviewing drawings, shop drawings and site conditions.
  • Incorporate feedback and design changes accurately into drawings and presentations.
  • Explore new materials, technologies, AI tools and design workflows that can improve the design process.
  • Consider sustainability, material efficiency and responsible design while developing solutions.
  • Maintain drawing quality, accuracy and documentation standards across projects.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or equivalent.
  • 0–3 years of professional experience in architecture, workplace design or commercial interiors.
  • Strong understanding of space planning, architectural design and basic construction principles.
  • Good design sense with the ability to translate ideas into drawings and presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within project deadlines.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary design team.
  • Interest in commercial interiors and workplace design is preferred.

Life at Oculus Design Studio

We believe good design comes from collaboration, curiosity and continuous learning.

Junior architects have the opportunity to work alongside experienced designers and project teams on commercial workplace projects, gaining exposure to both the creative and technical sides of design.

The role offers opportunities to learn through live projects, client interactions, design reviews, site exposure, internal knowledge-sharing sessions and collaboration across disciplines.

We encourage young designers to ask questions, explore ideas and gradually take greater ownership as their skills and experience develop.
