Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Architect role based in Chennai. The Junior Architect will support the design and planning of interior and infrastructure projects, preparing concept drawings, detailed layouts, and 3D visualizations under the guidance of senior architects. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing architectural plans, assisting with design presentations, coordinating with project management and site teams, and ensuring design intent is maintained during execution. The role also involves participating in client meetings, documenting design changes, preparing schedules and material specifications, and collaborating with consultants and contractors. The Junior Architect will help review drawings for accuracy, support integration of design with structural and MEP services, and assist in maintaining project documentation and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to translate concepts into clear drawings and plans.
- Familiarity with Software Development concepts and Integration as they relate to architectural tools, BIM, or design software workflows.
- Basic Project Management skills, including time management, task prioritization, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar), and strong visualization skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or an equivalent relevant field.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced project environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work respectfully within diverse teams and with multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and materials commonly used in interior and civil projects is an advantage.
