Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Architect role based in Chennai. The Junior Architect will support the design process from concept to detail, including preparing drawings, 3D models, and presentations under the guidance of senior team members. Responsibilities include assisting with site analysis, measurements, and documentation, as well as coordinating design details with consultants, vendors, and contractors. The role involves producing construction drawings, layouts, and material specifications, and contributing to design reviews and internal critiques. The Junior Architect will also help maintain project documentation, adhere to timelines, and ensure that design intent and quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to translate concepts into clear drawings and spatial solutions.
- Experience or familiarity with Software Development and Integration principles as they relate to design tools, workflows, or digital collaboration is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of Project Management, including time management, task coordination, and documentation for multiple projects.
- Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar) and presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent accredited qualification.
- Strong visual and spatial thinking, attention to detail, and an interest in experimental, unconventional design approaches.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary, studio-based environment.
- Willingness to conduct site visits, coordinate with external partners, and learn from feedback in a fast-paced studio setting.
