Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Support: Assist senior architects in the development of design concepts, sketches, and architectural plans. Contribute to brainstorming sessions and design discussions.
  • Drafting Documentation: Prepare architectural drawings, 3D models, and renderings using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc. ). Ensure that designs are accurate and meet project specifications.
  • Project Coordination: Support project teams by preparing and organizing project documentation, including specifications, technical reports, and presentation materials.
  • Site Visits: Attend site visits with senior team members to gather data, evaluate project progress, and ensure that designs are being implemented correctly.
  • Compliance Code Research: Conduct research on building codes, zoning laws, and other regulations to ensure design compliance. Assist in the preparation of necessary documentation for project approval.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (engineers, contractors, etc. ) to ensure designs are properly integrated into the construction process.
  • Sustainability: Assist in the development of sustainable design strategies, including the use of energy-efficient materials and systems in the building design.
  • Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed, gaining exposure to client relations and project development.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Architecture or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in architecture, preferably in a professional office setting. Internships or part-time work in architecture firms is a plus.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, etc. ).
  • Strong ability to create detailed drawings and 3D models.
  • Basic understanding of building systems, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Licensing: Must be actively working towards obtaining architectural licensure (if applicable in your country/region).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and parametric design tools.
  • Knowledge of sustainable building practices and certifications (e. g. , LEED).
  • Familiarity with rendering software (e. g. , V-Ray, Enscape).
