Junior Architect

Ambrosa Design Studio is a growing design practice working on interiors. We are looking for a creative and proactive Junior Architect / Interior Designer to work closely with the studio across a wide range of projects.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands-on exposure beyond a typical junior design role - from developing concepts and renders to material selection, site execution, vendor coordination, custom fabrication and client interactions.

What you will be involved in:

• Concept development, space planning and moodboards
• 2D drawings, detailing and documentation
• 3D modelling and high-quality realistic renders
• Material research and selection
• Site visits, measurements and quality checks
• Vendor, contractor and factory coordination
• Client meetings and presentations
• Proposals, pitches and business development
• Supporting the studio across different stages of a project

The role is primarily remote and project-driven, with approximately 4 days of engagement per week rather than a conventional 9–5 schedule. You will have flexibility in managing your time, while being expected to take ownership of assigned work and meet deadlines.

As a growing studio, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the design lead, take on meaningful responsibility, see projects move from design to execution, and build experience across different areas.

Travel for site, vendor, factory or project visits may be required, including outside Tamil Nadu when a project calls for it.

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture / Interior Design / related field
• Strong proficiency in SketchUp, Enscape/Lumion, AutoCAD and Photoshop. 3ds Max + Corona Renderer will be an added advantage.
• Ability to produce high-quality, realistic renders
• Good understanding of interiors, detailing, materials and execution
• Strong visual sense, attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Excellent communication skills, confidence in dealing with clients and vendors, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and coordination.

Location: Chennai

Work Mode: Primarily Remote + Occasional Site/Vendor/Factory/ Client Visits

Engagement: Part-time, approximately 4 days/week

Compensation: Competitive for a flexible part-time role, with scope for revision as responsibilities and project involvement grow.
