Junior Accountant (Hyderabad residents only to apply)Location: Hyderabad, India

Salary - 6 lakhs per year

About The Role

At SprintRay, we're looking for an experienced Accounting Associate / Junior Accountant to join our team. In this critical role, you'll work closely with our Accounting Manager and Finance Controller to prepare manual journal entries, perform financial analysis of accounting transactions, and process accurate and timely invoices and credit memos. You'll also have the opportunity to work on ad-hoc projects that support the finance and accounting functions of our growing company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of account reconciliations and other reporting requirements of responsible general ledger accounts, identifying and investigating long outstanding transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls with responsible general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with the month-end closing process.
  • Process inventory related vendor invoices.
  • Process customer invoices throughout the month to ensure timely recognition and matching of revenue and cost of goods sold activity.
  • Prepare customer credit memos as needed.
  • Participate in audits and provide support for audit requests related to your assigned general ledger account.
  • Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the accounting system.
  • Maintain and update vendor records, including onboarding and W-9 documentation.
  • Manage and upload receipts for corporate credit card transactions in Ramp.
  • Address and resolve vendor payment inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and assist with month-end close activities as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Support ad hoc accounting projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Should be willing to work 3-4 hours in the US time zone.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in general accounting and month-end close process responsibilities; manufacturing background is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of Odoo or any ERP System
  • Median Excel skills - VLOOKUP's Pivot Tables
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting standards
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must possess the ability to work independently as well as within a team and thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Detail oriented and able to work under pressure
  • Good work ethic and displays a can-do type of attitude
  • Knowledge on the US monitory systems and financial statements
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with US-based teams SprintRay is an equal opportunity employer.
