Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Accountant located in Chennai. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports. They will assist in payroll processing, GST filing, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. Additional responsibilities include supporting the senior accounting team, analysing financial data, and maintaining accurate accounting systems to ensure smooth financial operations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting principles
• Maintenance of books of accounts
• Experience with bank reconciliation
• Familiarity with GST filing and compliance with financial regulations
• Skills in financial analysis and attention to detail
• Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets (e.g., MS Excel), and MS Office tools
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Team collaboration and effective communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Prior experience in the construction or steel industry is a plus
