Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Accountant, located in Kolkata. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. Daily tasks include managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciling bank statements, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role may also involve data entry, handling invoices, and supporting the senior accounting team with administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with financial reporting and budget management
- Prior Experience with Compliance and Taxation is also preferred.
- Experience with accounting software and tools (e.g., Tally )
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel
- Educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
