About Amadora

Amadora is a premium artisanal ice cream brand, crafting small-batch ice cream from real ingredients since 2011 — Alphonso mangoes, single-origin chocolate, no premixes. From our central production kitchen in Chennai we supply a growing network of company-owned and franchise stores across South India, and we're on an ambitious expansion path. As we scale, we're building out a stronger finance team — and this is a great seat for someone early in their accounting career to learn fast and grow.

The Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our day-to-day finance operations. Working closely with the Senior Accountant, you'll keep our books accurate and up to date, handle the steady flow of transactions, and help prepare the data that feeds our monthly reporting. It's a hands-on role with plenty of exposure across the business — ideal for someone who wants to build a strong accounting foundation in a fast-growing company.

What You'll Do

• Record day-to-day transactions accurately in Tally — purchases, sales, expenses and journal entries
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable — booking vendor bills, raising invoices, and following up on pending items
• Help with bank reconciliations and maintaining clean, well-organised ledgers
• Assist in pulling and organising sales and stock reports (including from Petpooja) to support the finance team
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of invoices, vouchers and statutory records
• Support the monthly close and help compile data for the MIS pack
• Help track GST and TDS data and prepare working sheets for filings
• Assist with petty cash, vendor reconciliations and other ad-hoc finance tasks

What We're Looking For

• B.Com (or pursuing CA / CMA); fresh graduates with strong fundamentals are welcome
• 0–3 years of accounting experience
• Working knowledge of Tally and comfort with Excel
• Basic understanding of GST and TDS
• Accurate, organised and reliable, with a genuine eagerness to learn and take ownership

Nice to Have

• Exposure to F&B, retail or multi-outlet businesses
• Familiarity with Petpooja or a similar POS system
• An internship or articleship in accounting or audit

What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)

• Day-to-day entries are accurate, up to date and require minimal correction
• Vendor and bank reconciliations are completed cleanly and on time, every month
• You're a dependable support to the Senior Accountant through each monthly close
• GST and TDS working sheets are prepared accurately and ahead of deadlines
• You've grown your understanding of the business and are ready to take on more responsibility
