Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct Social Impact Assessment (SIA) and identify potential social risks and impacts.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental and Social Frameworks (ESF), Performance Standards, and safeguard policies.
- Prepare and implement Resettlement Action Plans (RAP) and Livelihood Restoration Plans (LRP).
- Engage with stakeholders, including local communities, NGOs, and vulnerable groups through structured consultations.
- Develop and monitor Stakeholder Engagement Plans (SEP) and grievance redress mechanisms (GRM).
- Ensure protection of indigenous peoples, marginalized communities, and gender equality considerations.
- Monitor labor and working conditions in line with international labor standards.
- Integrate community health, safety, and security measures into project planning.
- Facilitate land acquisition processes ensuring fair compensation and transparency.
- Conduct social audits, reporting, and documentation as per lender requirements.
- Build capacity of project teams on social safeguards and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with government agencies and funding institutions for approvals and reporting.
- Track key social performance indicators and prepare periodic monitoring reports.
- Ensure continuous improvement in social risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualification & Experience
- Master's degree in Social Sciences / Sociology / Social Work / Development Studies or related field.
- Minimum 24 years of experience in infrastructure, construction, or development sector projects.
- Proven experience working with multilateral funding agencies (WB, IFC, ADB, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Indian land acquisition laws and international safeguard policies.
