The Safety Engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety policies at real estate development and construction sites. The role ensures compliance with local safety regulations, reduces workplace hazards, and promotes a strong safety culture across residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project-specific HSE plans, risk assessments, and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and international standards such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) where applicable.
- Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS)
- NEBOSH Certification
- Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and hazard identification.
- Lead incident investigations and prepare root cause analysis reports.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and emergency drills.
- Review Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements, and Work Permits.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor safety compliance.
- Ensure proper implementation of PPE and fall protection systems.
- Maintain safety records, reports, and statutory documentation.
- Promote continuous improvement in safety performance.
