Job SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our finance team in managing day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the e-commerce industry, strong knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Roles & Responsibilities- Maintain books of accounts including sales, purchase, expense, and journal entries
- Handle accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers
- Manage e-commerce transactions, marketplace settlements, and commission reconciliation
- Prepare GST-related data, including returns and compliance support
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
- Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors when required
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and statutory regulations
Required Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Accountant in the e-commerce industry
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic taxation
- Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and accounting software
- Understanding of online marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Skills- Experience in inventory accounting
- Familiarity with payment gateways and settlement reports
- Basic knowledge of MIS reporting
