Role: Video Producer
Job Location: New Delhi
Objective:
We are seeking a skilled Video Producer to join our news video team. The role involves producing engaging explainers, summaries, and angled video stories that reflect strong editorial judgement and effective storytelling.
The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of current affairs, excellent writing and scripting skills, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly with editors and designers during post-production. You should be able to react quickly to breaking news, generate original story ideas, and deliver high-quality videos under tight deadlines.
Strong command of English and the ability to translate accurately from your native language are essential. Familiarity with digital storytelling trends and video formats is a plus.
Main Responsibilities & Requirements
- Reporting to the Head of Video, you will produce news packages, news summaries, explainers, and angled video stories, ensuring each piece demonstrates creative storytelling.
- You must have a strong command of the English language and be capable of writing error-free scripts, editing, and producing videos. You should demonstrate strong storytelling skills and narrative-building abilities. You will have excellent knowledge of current affairs and a sound judgement of news.
- You will manage live streaming across YouTube and other digital platforms.
- You must have exceptional skills in producing short-form videos to attract young viewers.
- You will be expected to work effectively in a high-pressure news environment, delivering to tight deadlines while maintaining the highest editorial standards. It may be necessary to join the shift at short notice when required; therefore, flexibility is essential.
- You should also be able to translate swiftly and accurately from your native language into English to produce error-free content. Staying updated with the latest trends in storytelling techniques, digital journalism, and video production tools will be part of your role.
- You will be responsible for producing original stories from the desk. You may also be required to handle shifts when necessary.
