Product Coordinator & Junior Merchandiser to join our Mumbai team.
This role sits at the intersection of product development, factory coordination, and order management. You will serve as a critical communication link between the factory floor and the merchandising team — ensuring samples move on time, product development stays on track, and every customer order query is handled with precision and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
Product Development Coordination
- Coordinate with the factory on all product development (PD) activities — from initial brief to sample sign-off
- Track development timelines, flag delays, and ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain up-to-date records of PD status for all active styles
Sampling & Merchandising Liaison
- Act as the primary communication bridge between the factory and the Merchandiser
- Coordinate sampling requests, dispatch, and approvals in line with buyer timelines
- Follow up on sample status, corrections, and repeat requests
Order Processing Support
- Assist with order processing and documentation in coordination with the merchandising team
- Ensure order details — quantities, specifications, delivery timelines — are accurately communicated to the factory
- Track order status and flag any discrepancies or delays proactively
Customer Query Management
- Handle all customer order-related queries promptly and professionally
- Maintain clear records of customer communications and resolution status
- Coordinate internally to provide accurate, timely responses
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain product trackers, sample logs, and order status sheets
- Prepare regular status updates for the merchandising team
- Use Canva or similar tools to support the creation of product presentations or line sheets as needed
Required Skills
- Strong product knowledge — jewellery industry experience is mandatory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Canva
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
- Comfortable coordinating across factory, merchandising, and client-facing teams
- Proactive follow-up approach and a problem-solving mindset
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline (Fashion Design, Textile Management, or Commerce preferred)
- 2–4 years of experience in product coordination, merchandising, or sampling roles
- Prior experience in jewellery, gems, luxury accessories, or fashion manufacturing is essential
- Familiarity with factory workflows and B2B order processes is an advantage
