Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java Development SME with diversified exposure across analysis, design, development, and implementation of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will lead technical design discussions, ensure quality delivery, and work closely with stakeholders in the Payments domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Java-based application development and technical delivery.
- Lead design discussions, explain architecture and design decisions, and address design-related issues with relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project, QA, and support teams to resolve technical and application issues impacting project delivery.
- Understand business requirements within the Payments domain and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Mentoring and supporting junior developers to ensure high-quality, timely deliveries.
- Ensure project deliveries to production meet agreed quality standards and comply with internal processes and external regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand project needs and drive end-to-end technical delivery.
- Proactively identify, assess, and resolve or escalate technical risks and testing issues.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and control standards, including timely identification and escalation of control issues.
- Identify automation opportunities and lead implementation through to closure.
Must-Have Technical Skills & Experience
- 6–8 years of experience as a Full-Stack Java/J2EE Web Developer.
- Strong expertise in Java SE, including:
- Core Java
- Collections Framework
- Multithreading
- Hands-on experience in design and development of Java applications using Spring Boot.
- Excellent knowledge of Spring Core, including:
- Dependency Injection
- Annotations
- XML-based configurations
- Experience with:
- Spring AOP (Advice, Aspects, AOP Processor)
- REST Controllers
- Spring JDBC
- Spring ORM / Hibernate
- JPA
- Good experience with Java EE technologies:
- Servlet
- JDBC
- JNDI
- Basic understanding of:
- Spring Security
- Security concepts such as authentication and encryption
- Experience with MAVEN build system.
- Working knowledge of:
- Linux commands
- SQL
