We are looking for a Quality Engineer with strong automation experience to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of scalable backend systems and distributed applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Java-based automation frameworks, testing microservices, and validating event-driven systems deployed in cloud-native environments. This role involves close collaboration with development and DevOps teams to drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Essential Functions
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Java.
- Develop automated test cases for APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Validate system functionality, performance, and reliability across distributed environments.
- Test applications deployed using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Perform testing in AWS-based environments.
- Validate messaging workflows and data flows using Kafka.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests.
Qualifications
- 46 years of experience in Quality Engineering or QA Automation.
- Strong experience in Java-based automation testing.
- Experience testing REST APIs and microservices architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes environments.
- Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Experience testing event-driven or messaging systems such as Kafka.
- Good understanding of software testing principles and test methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Would be a plus
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, RestAssured, or similar tools.
- Exposure to performance or load testing tools.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
- Understanding of monitoring and logging tools.
