Job Description

The L2 Support Engineer provides operational and production support for Unix/Linux environments, SQL databases, and Java applications. The role includes troubleshooting, debugging, and maintaining production systems while ensuring adherence to software engineering and ITSM best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in Unix/Linux, SQL, and Java environments.
Write and debug SQL queries, stored procedures, and cursors.
Execute Unix/Linux commands and scripting for system maintenance and automation.
Support incident, problem, and change management following ITSM processes.
Perform hands-on coding and debugging for application support.
Document operational procedures, processes, and resolutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience with Java, C++, Python, or other object-oriented programming languages.
Strong Unix/Linux command and scripting skills.
SQL querying, stored procedure coding, and database troubleshooting.
Knowledge of SDLC and ITSM processes.
Experience supporting production systems and handling incidents.
Ability to work independently on complex production issues.
