About The Opportunity
A leader in the Enterprise Software & IT Services sector building scalable, transaction-safe web applications for customers across finance, logistics and healthcare. This is an on-site engineering role in India focused on backend application development, performance, and operational reliability.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain server-side Java/J2EE components and RESTful services to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Implement data access layers using SQL, JDBC and Hibernate; optimize queries and ORM mappings for performance.
- Build and maintain Servlets/JSP modules and integrate backend services with front-end teams and APIs.
- Author unit and integration tests, participate in CI/CD pipelines and manage build artifacts using Maven and source control (Git).
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform application performance tuning, and work with application servers for deployments and configuration.
- Contribute to technical design documents, peer code reviews, and mentor junior engineers to raise team delivery quality.
