Java + Bigdata Developer

Job Description

• 5+ years of application development experience in a professional environment
• Strong understanding of Hadoop and its ecosystem (Spark, Scala, HDFS, Hive)
• Good understanding of modern and traditional databases, including SQL
• Hands-on experience with Spark and advanced Scala (mandatory)
• Hands-on experience with Apache NiFi and Kafka (good to have)
• Proficiency in Linux environments and tools (grep, awk, sed, etc.)
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, and Ansible

Domain Requirement

• Experience in Financial and Banking domain is mandatory
• The requirement is for Credit Risk Chain
• Candidate should be able to contribute as a techno-functional resource, not just as a developer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Understand software requirements and translate them into working source code
• Take accountability for delivering high-quality code within timelines
• Collaborate effectively with team members to complete deliverables
• Manage production incidents and errors; engage and notify the team as needed
• Participate in resolving production incidents with stakeholders and management
• Manage application/infrastructure production configurations, processes, and releases
• Get mentored on industry best practices and apply them consistently
• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle
• Write well-designed, testable, high-standard code
• Envision system features and functionality
• Ensure application designs align with business goals
• Develop and test software with high quality
• Contribute to production support and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Follow Agile practices (daily scrum, iteration planning, retrospectives, test-driven development, model storming)
• Prioritize work products based on iteration goals
• Share best practices and work effectively with team members

Work Expectation

• Should be flexible to work and support Paris business hours
