About this Role

We are seeking a seasoned Java Backend Solution Designer to join our Telco IT team in Pune. This role involves translating complex Telco business requirements into scalable and reusable technical solutions. The individual will lead solution design across multiple teams, manage dependencies, and support deployments and incident handling in production environments. The role demands hands-on experience in Java development, interface configuration, and collaboration with system architects and DevOps engineers.

What you will do

Translate functional and business Telco requirements into solution designs.
Own and implement technical solution designs across multiple teams.
Develop code in Java 8 and above.
Configure interfaces for data exchange between services and front-end applications.
Present high-level and technical designs to cross-functional teams.
Conduct initial defect analysis and manage incident handling in production.
Review code and approve complex pull requests.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, and System Architects for feature breakdown and design.
Support DevOps in deployment across environments.

Who you are

7+ years of overall experience in software development.
3+ years as a Java Designer/Architect in BSS applications.
5+ years as a backend developer using Java, JavaScript, Python, relational and NoSQL databases.
Proven expertise in creating highly reusable and generic technical solution designs.
Experience with automated unit testing, DevOps, GIT, Confluence, JIRA, and API management.
Exposure to SAFE Agile methodology and leadership roles.
Educational qualifications: B.E. / B. Tech, BCA / MCA, BSc / MSc (Computer Science).
Desirable certifications: SAFe Agile, AWS.
Additional skills: Kafka, caching mechanisms, relational/NoSQL DBs.
