Java Backend Developer

What you'll do

Technology is at the heart of our organization. We have a strong engineering team, and we're looking to expand our tech team. As part of the tech team, you'll be:

1. Partnering with the product/business teams to understand the product features and specifications, translate them into high-level and low-level design
2. Participating in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle - design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
3. Writing elegant, effective, and scalable code while maintaining the highest level of coding standards
4. Taking ownership of the work and ensuring timely deliveries
5. Driving innovation while relentlessly improving performance

What you'll need

Must-haves

• 1+ years of experience as a Java backend developer with strong knowledge of Java web frameworks like Spring Boot, and experience working in Microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience working with Linux/Unix platform
• Strong knowledge of SQL and RDBMS like PostgreSQL/MySQL, etc.
• Experience in Python, Git
• Strong technical aptitude and good knowledge of CS fundamentals
• Strong design skills involving data modelling and low-level class design
• Follow industry coding standards and be responsible for writing maintainable, scalable, and efficient code to solve business problems

Good to have

• BTech. / MTech. in Computer Science or equivalent degree
• Prior experience working in a start-up environment
