Java Backend Developer

• 1 to 4 years of experience with design and development of new features and solutions that support customer use cases in existing and new software products
• Implement security best practices and protocols in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Work in an agile team environment that practices continuous improvement when planning, estimating and building software.
• Deliver on sprint commitments by working proactively with stakeholders to identify and navigate obstacles.
• Build high-performing software with an evolving set of tools across several technology stacks and participate in the stewardship of our development process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams including Architects, QA, Product Management, and others to delight our customers.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Java development, database modelling, and cybersecurity

Technical Competencies

Required:

• Experience developing large scale Java Microservice applications (Spring boot , Java , Databases and AWS Cloud services knowledge).
• Good understanding of SQL and NOSQL databases and restful web-services .
• Extensive knowledge of security principles and practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
• Understanding of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) principles.
• A solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Self-guided learning of new tools, technologies and stacks.
• Extensive experience working in TDD (Test Driven Development)/BDD (Behavior Driven Development) and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Deployment) environment.
• Working experience in any messaging queue such as Kafka/ RabbitMQ etc.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with concepts, such as Microservice architecture and Containerization
• Familiarity with tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Active interest and participation in DevOps as a culture.
• Knowledge on serverless architecture
• Basic knowledge on java script and shell scripting
