Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to develop enterprise-grade Java and Node.js applications that address complex challenges for over 400 million consumers and merchants worldwide. The contractor will also contribute to the design and development of AI-powered customer service tools, spanning both internal and customer-facing applications. You will be embedded within the Global Servicing Team under the Core Platforms Organization the group responsible for AI-powered customer chatbots and cutting-edge tools that support Customer Support teams in efficiently resolving customer issues.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including design, implementation, testing, delivery, and operations.
- Advise immediate management on project-level issues.
- Operate with little day-to-day supervision, making technical decisions based on knowledge of internal conventions and industry best practices.
- Apply knowledge of technical best practices in making decisions.
- Spend the majority of the day writing, reviewing, and testing Java and/or Node.js code, building or enhancing features for AI-powered customer service tools and enterprise applications.
- Attend a daily standup or check-in with the core team to provide progress updates, flag any blockers, and align on priorities.
- Track and manage your own deliverables across the full software development lifecycle from design and implementation through to testing and deployment ensuring timely delivery within the contract timeline.
Requirements:
- 3 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor&rsquos degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification related to Google Cloud / Amazon Cloud is a plus for this role.
