Java and React Full-Stack Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a Back-End leaning Full-Stack Engineer to join our lean, versatile team. You will own a product vertical end-to-end, from Java back-end services to TypeScript front-ends. This role is ideal for a strong back-end engineer who is eager to work across the entire stack in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimize Java microservices on AWS (ECS, Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL).
- Develop and ship features across our TypeScript front-ends (React Native mobile app & React web).
- Design, evolve, and optimize APIs (GraphQL + REST).
- Partner with a front-end engineer to own a product vertical (e.g., onboarding, payments).
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Compliance to deliver secure, regulated features.
- (Bonus) Contribute to infrastructure using Terraform.
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Strong experience in Java, SpringBoot, Hibernate and microservices.
- Proficiency with AWS (ECS, Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL).
- Experience with React/TypeScript and a willingness to work on the front-end.
- Proven startup experience and comfort with ambiguity and ownership.
- Background in Fintech or a regulated environment.
Nice-to-Haves:
- GraphQL API experience.
- Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform).
- Python experience.
