Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Japanese Sushi Chef at Kairo Sushi, located in Hyderabad. Responsibilities include preparing a variety of sushi dishes, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, sourcing and handling fresh ingredients, and ensuring food presentation meets the restaurant's high standards. The role also involves collaborating with kitchen staff, innovating menu items, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Qualifications
- Expertise in traditional and contemporary sushi-making techniques, including slicing, rolling, and plating
- Knowledge of equipment handling, ingredient selection, and food safety protocols specific to Japanese cuisine
- Experience in kitchen preparation, time management, and maintaining a hygienic workspace
- Ability to innovate and contribute new ideas to the menu while respecting culinary traditions
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for Japanese cuisine and a commitment to delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer experiences
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
