Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ITAM administrator to ensure the effective administration, configuration, and optimization of IT Asset Management toolsprimarily ServiceNowto support accurate asset tracking, lifecycle management, and compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Tool Administration: Administer and maintain ITAM platforms, primarily ServiceNow HAM Pro, SAM Pro, and CMDB, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Configuration & Customization: Configure workflows, business rules, UI policies, and integrations to support asset lifecycle processes and organizational requirements.
- Data Management: Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the CMDB and ITAM modules through regular audits, reconciliation, and automation.
- System Upgrades & Enhancements Testing: Collaborate with platform teams to plan and implement test cases and run the test in the ITAM toolset during upgrades and patching
- User Support & Enablement: Provide technical support, training, and documentation for end-users and stakeholders interacting with the ITAM system.
- Collaboration & Governance:Work closely with ITAM governance, procurement, and operations teams to align tool capabilities with business needs and compliance standards.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in administering and managing ITAM tools, with strong expertise in ServiceNow ITAM modules and CMDB
- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITAM modules (HAM Pro, SAM Pro) and CMDB administration. Proficiency in ServiceNow Discovery, integrations, and workflow development.
- Understanding of IT asset lifecycle, configuration management, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the ITAM platform.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and asset governance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- ServiceNow System Administrator or Implementation Specialist certification.
- Experience with scripting (JavaScript) and ServiceNow Flow Designer.
- Exposure to ITAM governance frameworks such as ISO/IEC 19770 or COBIT.
- Experience in enterprise environments with large-scale asset inventories.
