Job Summary/Mohr Intro.
Mohr Management India Pvt. Ltd, a global commercial real estate services firm, is seeking a dedicated Onsite IT Specialist to be based at our Chennai office. In collaboration with Valukoda LLC, this role will serve as the primary onsite IT support for the India team. You will handle deskside support, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate closely with the US-based IT service desk to ensure seamless operations. This position requires strong independent problem-solving skills, as you will be the primary IT presence onsite.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-User & Deskside Support
- Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests
- Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, peripherals, printers, and AV equipment
- Install, configure, and deploy hardware and software
- Support Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) and Windows 11
- Assist with onboarding of new employees (IT setup & orientation)
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies
2. Level 2 & Remote Support- Handle and resolve tickets from the IT ticketing system
- Perform troubleshooting related to:
- Active Directory / Entra ID
- Group policies
- Endpoint security
- Networking basics (DHCP, DNS, VPN, Wi-Fi)
- Collaborate with US-based IT teams on escalations
- Maintain clear documentation and contribute to knowledge base
3. Site & Vendor Coordination
- Support remote IT teams with onsite infrastructure tasks
- Coordinate and supervise third-party vendors (internet, cabling, electrical, etc.)
- Perform routine checks of network equipment and IT infrastructure
- Report site-level issues promptly
4. Security & Compliance
- Follow company IT and data security policies
- Report suspicious activities or incidents immediately
- Ensure confidentiality of company and client data

Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of IT support experience (including onsite/deskside support)
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
- Basic understanding of Active Directory / Entra ID
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, Wi-Fi)
- Experience with laptops, docking stations, and peripherals
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal English)
- Ability to work independently and in US shift hours
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Managed Service Providers (MSP)
- Familiarity with ticketing and RMM tools
- Exposure to cloud-managed networking (e.g., Meraki)
- Certifications such as:
- CompTIA A+ / Network+
- Microsoft MS-900 or MD-102
- Experience in corporate or professional services environment
Working Arrangement
This role is employed through
Mohr Management India Private Limited, with day-to-day direction and technical guidance provided by Valukoda LLC. You will function as an extension of the global IT team while being physically present in the Chennai office.
