Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced IT-OT Integration Engineer to bridge the gap between industrial automation systems and enterprise IT infrastructure. This role involves designing and implementing integration architectures that enable seamless data flow across plant-floor systems and business applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in industrial systems, communication protocols, and enterprise integration, with hands-on experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement IT-OT integration architectures across industrial and enterprise systems
- Integrate systems such as SCADA, MES, ERP, and Historians to enable real-time data flow
- Work with industrial communication protocols including OPC-UA, MQTT, and other messaging frameworks
- Develop and manage data models, interfaces, and middleware integrations
- Enable use cases such as Digital Twin, Predictive Maintenance, and advanced analytics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between plant systems and IT platforms
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, security practices, and integration frameworks
- Support deployment, testing, and optimization of integration solutions
Required Skills and Experience:
- 48 years of experience in IT-OT integration, industrial automation, or related domains
- Strong experience with Control Systems (PLC/SCADA) and industrial environments
- Hands-on experience integrating MES, SCADA, ERP, and Historian systems (e.g., OSIsoft PI, AVEVA)
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus, and TCP/IP
- Understanding of IT-OT architecture and system boundaries
- Experience with industrial networking concepts (LAN, WAN, VLAN, subnetting)
- Familiarity with data modeling and interface design
- Exposure to middleware and integration platforms
Good To Have:
- Experience with platforms like Ignition SCADA or similar open SCADA systems
- Knowledge of ICS/OT cybersecurity practices and network security tools
- Experience working on digital transformation or Industry 4.0 initiatives
- Exposure to cloud integration with industrial systems
- Certifications in Industrial Networking, SCADA, MES, or OPC-UA
