Job Description
- Ensure business continuity by reducing risks associated with IT infrastructure and tools
- Provide effective support to the end users
- Execute and implement IT strategies in alignment with SGS Global IT Strategy
- Responsible for uninterrupted IT systems, communication, data backups, and emergency plans
- Manage information technology and computer systems and maintain the local area network on a day-to-day basis, including PCs, printers, and other network devices
- Ensure the implementation and maintenance of software in accordance with group standards and practices
- Communicate the IT strategy to the local stakeholders (strategy, roadmap, ongoing initiatives, financials)
- Distribute IT communication to all concerned parties
- Ensure office design and cabling for office equipment: faxes, copiers, printers and telephone systems
- Provide management with information on ongoing IT events, activities and projects
- Prepare and manage the local IT budget, and the execution of Group IT projects
- Review and optimize current IT costs and propose cost saving initiatives
- Ensure the development and implementation of IT projects
- Active local contribution to global IT initiatives / projects, (e.g. data-center migration, cloud first strategy, corporate application deployment, such as: BOSS, G6...etc.)
- Manage local IT projects implementation on infrastructure and Application deployment: supervise planning and resourcing to support project delivery
- Ensure business continuity by reducing the risks associated with IT security problems
- Participate in corporate IT Security initiatives / programs / systems implementation
- Serve as an advisor for country stakeholders on IT security governance policies, procedures, and risks
- Ensure confidentiality, availability, and integrity of corporate data
- Provide control and security of servers, workstations, network equipment, mobile devices, and other IT assets
- Investigate IT Security incidents in country
Qualifications
- Master/ Bachelor degree within information technology specialization
- Fluent English
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Time management skills
- 10+ years of experience in the Information Technology field
- Exhaustive knowledge of network technologies, network devices and tools
- Knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
- Experience in IT security and/or providing IT security operations management
- Experience in security systems including antimalware, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, DMZ, web application firewalls, VPN, Zero-Trust, cloud technologies, etc
