Job Description: IT Infrastructure Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Critical Incident Response: Act swiftly during critical incidents to provide timely support, ensure clear communication, and coordinate global escalation and resolution.
  • Local Infrastructure Support: Maintain and troubleshoot local data centers, servers, storage systems, network cabling, switches, and routers to reduce downtime.
  • New Equipment Handover: Oversee installation and readiness of new or replacement equipment for smooth transitions.
  • Spare Parts & Storage Management: Manage local spare inventory and equipment storage to ensure availability and organization.
  • Operational Application Support: Deliver essential support for local applications, ensuring high performance and rapid issue resolution.
  • Super User Assistance: Serve as the local expert for key systems and applications, providing advanced troubleshooting and user support.
  • Process & Project Support: Collaborate with central teams to suggest local process improvements and support infrastructure projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in IT support with a focus on infrastructure (data centers, networking, hardware).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and incident response capabilities.
  • Ability to manage tasks under pressure with attention to resolution speed.
  • Proficiency in managing IT equipment lifecycle and spare inventory.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continual process improvement.
