Position Overview
This role will be responsible for
managing and securing the company's entire IT infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure cloud services, cybersecurity systems, user access management, Power BI data infrastructure, workflow automation systems, and endpoint support.
The engineer will ensure the organization maintains a
secure, compliant, and reliable technology environment while also supporting day-to-day IT needs such as device management, permissions, system security, and internal collaboration tools.
The role will also support
Power BI data infrastructure and workflow automation systems used for operational dashboards and internal processes.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure:
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
- Administer Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) and user access controls
- Manage Azure virtual machines, storage, and cloud resources
- Monitor cloud performance, security alerts, and system reliability
Cybersecurity
- Implement cybersecurity best practices across systems and devices
- Manage identity and access management, MFA, and endpoint security
- Configure and monitor Microsoft Defender
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and respond to security incidents
Compliance & Data Protection
- Implement security policies and access control frameworks
- Maintain audit logs and security monitoring systems
- Support compliance standards including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act practices
- Maintain documentation for security procedures and controls
Microsoft 365 & Collaboration Systems
- Manage Microsoft 365 services including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Outlook
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and collaboration tools
- Maintain SharePoint document management and governance
Data & Automation Support
- Support data infrastructure used for dashboards in Microsoft Power BI
- Manage secure data connections and reporting access
- Support workflow automation using Microsoft Power Automate
Endpoint Management & IT Support
- Manage company laptops, device security policies, and remote device management
- Configure VPN access and patch management
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for employees
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Active Directory
- Experience managing Microsoft 365 environments
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, identity management, and endpoint security
- Experience with SharePoint Online and collaboration platforms
- Familiarity with Power BI infrastructure and automation tools
- Understanding of network security fundamentals
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Azure Administrator
- Microsoft Security Engineer
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) / Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) / CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator
Experience
- 5+ years experience in IT infrastructure or cybersecurity
- 3+ years experience with Azure or Microsoft cloud platforms
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments, Power BI, and workflow automation tools
