Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Workday Solution Design & Delivery

Strong hands-on experience with the full Workday integration stack:

• Core Connectors

• EIB (Inbound & Outbound)

• Workday Studio

• Workday Web Services (SOAP & REST APIs)

• RaaS, XML, JSON, XSLT, XPATH

• Authentication & OAuth 2.0

• Troubleshooting, performance tuning, and resolving integration issues.

• Monitoring production integrations and proactively addressing failures.

• Lead design, configuration, and migration of Workday HCM components.

• Translate business needs into scalable Workday technical configurations.

• Drive Workday releases technical evaluation and assess their impact on existing

configurations.

• Ensure Workday designs follow global models, meet compliance needs, and

integrate cleanly with downstream systems.

2. Technical Leadership & Governance

• Serve as the Workday SME for technical lifecycle management across HR systems.

• Guide product backlog prioritization with BRM and Product Owner based on

business impact and strategy.

• Establish Workday technical development standards, documentation practices,

and quality controls.

• Mentor, coach, and develop junior Workday analysts and functional consultants.

3. Workday Operations & Optimization

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Workday configuration, integration, and security

issues with minimal supervision.

• Lead testing cycles—unit, regression, UAT—and validate Workday changes for

production readiness.

• Drive Workday enhancement initiatives: automation, workflow optimization,

calculated fields, and custom reports.

4. Integrations & Reporting

• Support integration design for payroll, benefits, and downstream HR and non-HR

applications that are both internal and external; ensure accurate data flows.

• Build and maintain complex Workday reports and dashboards (calculated fields,

advanced reporting).

• Maintain Workday security roles and ensure alignment with compliance and audit

requirements.

5. Stakeholder, Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate across BRM, HR, IT, leadership teams, and 3rd-party vendors to deliver

Workday solutions.

• Communicate effectively with leadership, provide status updates, and present

solution recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• 6-10* years of experience in HR IT roles, with deep hands-on Workday experience.

• Monitoring production integrations and proactively addressing failures.

• Minimum 3 years in Global Workday implementation projects.

• Expertise in Workday business process configuration, Core HCM, Talent, Recruiting,

Compensation, and integrations.

• Strong grasp of HR processes and ability to translate them into system solutions.

• Experience with Workday security, calculated fields, reporting, and downstream

system integrations.

• Experience with Agile project methodology (Scrum/Kanban etc.)

• Background in SaaS, ITSM, Jira/ServiceNow preferred.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder

management skills.

Required Certifications

• Workday Pro Integration certification.

• Workday Core HCM configuration certification.

• Additional certifications (Recruiting, Compensation, Advanced Comp, Talent) are a

strong plus (referenced in candidate profiles).
