Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Mandatory Coding Certification from AHIMA/AAPC – (CCS, CIC).
· Good Analyzing & Communication skills (Written & Verbal).
Preferred Experienced Skills
· Knowledge on RCM & DRG methodology (optimizing will be an added advantage.
· Self-Learning & Goal-oriented, Organized team player.
· Basic Computer Skills & MS-office Suite.
· Evaluating and Trending Down Errors and preparing Corrective Action Plan – for Error Free Claims.
· Abstraction of ICD/PCS from Medical Records adhering to IPPS (Inpatient Payment Prospective System).
· Concurrent and retrospective medical record review for defined patient populations to identify opportunities for documentation improvement and integrity
· Serve as CDI representative for DRG validation audits, HAC.
· Query auditing for compliance and collaborating with Health Information Management (HIM)
· Should have good knowledge on MS-DRG & APR DRG
· HIPAA Compliant for PHI.
· Meeting Minimum Expected Standard Benchmarks (Quality above 98%) (Production above 98% to 100%).
· Flexibility on Shifts & Roster weekends as part of Operational Requirement.
