Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IPDRG Coder with strong expertise in inpatient medical coding. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate code assignment, DRG optimization, and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines while maintaining high productivity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient cases
- Ensure correct DRG assignment (MS-DRG / APR-DRG) and optimization
- Identify missed coding opportunities and documentation gaps
- Ensure compliance with coding standards and guidelines
- Maintain high levels of coding accuracy and productivity
- Collaborate with clinical and audit teams for clarifications and improvements
Eligibility Criteria:- Certified Medical Coder (CIC / CCS preferred)
- Strong experience in IPDRG / inpatient coding
- Hands-on experience with DRG assignment (MS-DRG / APR-DRG)
- Good understanding of CC/MCC impact and sequencing guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in coding audits / quality assurance (QA)
- Strong clinical knowledge and interpretation skills
- Ability to justify coding decisions with proper rationale
