We are seeking a detail-oriented IPDRG Coder to join our healthcare team in India. The ideal candidate will have 1-6 years of experience in medical coding, specifically with a focus on IPDRG. This role requires a strong understanding of coding regulations and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy in coding.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures based on IPDRG guidelines.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of coding to facilitate proper billing and reimbursement processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to clarify documentation and coding issues.
- Stay updated with the latest coding guidelines, regulations, and compliance requirements related to IPDRG.
- Participate in coding audits and quality assurance activities to maintain coding standards.
- Provide training and support to junior coders or new team members as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, medical coding, or a related field.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, COC) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for accurate coding.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with healthcare providers and colleagues.
