We are seeking a detail-oriented IPDRG Coder to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding inpatient diagnoses and procedures according to IPDRG standards, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and billing practices.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze clinical documentation to assign appropriate codes according to IPDRG guidelines.
- Ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures for inpatient hospital services.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding queries.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding rules and regulations, including updates to IPDRG.
- Participate in coding audits and assist in implementing improvements based on findings.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-4 years of experience in medical coding, specifically in IPDRG.
- Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in coding and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) is preferred.
