Job Description

Cradlepoint is seeking a skilled IP Security Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting a variety of leading firewalls and load balancers, including Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco ASA firewalls, and F5 LTM/AFM. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring optimal security and performance for our network infrastructure. This position requires strong technical proficiency, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to interact with global clients and cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and Implement IP Security Firewalls, specifically Checkpoint, Fortinet, and Cisco ASA firewalls. Ensure all firewall configurations adhere to industry best practices and security protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve issues related to firewalls, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of security systems.
  • Gain hands-on experience in the implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM).
  • Lead the implementation and troubleshooting of F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Advanced Firewall Manager (AFM) to ensure high availability and secure application delivery.
  • Manage and maintain Infoblox for DNS and IPAM to ensure network stability and optimal performance (good to have knowledge).
  • Communicate effectively with global clients, ensuring their security requirements are clearly understood and precisely executed.
  • Provide timely updates, resolve client issues, and act as a trusted advisor on security matters.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing valuable insights into network security, performance, and infrastructure optimization.
  • Work on configuring firewall policies, VPNs, NAT, and other essential security protocols.
  • Provide high-level technical support to global clients, ensuring their network security needs are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network security issues, delivering effective solutions that ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize network security and performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech.
  • Expertise in IP Security and strong hands-on experience with Checkpoint Firewall.
  • Good understanding of Fortinet and Cisco ASA firewalls.
  • Proficient in implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting F5 LTM.
  • Must have certification in Checkpoint Firewall (CCSA).
  • Certification on Fortinet or F5 will be an added benefit.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role, dealing with global clients and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
  • Good industry knowledge relevant to network security.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Good customer handling abilities.
