Role Summary
The Industrial Flexible Packaging Sales Manager will be responsible for driving HP Industrial flexible packaging business across the South & East region. The role focuses on managing and enabling channel partners, generating and validating sales opportunities, and maturing opportunities through the full sales cycle until closure. This position requires strong consultative selling, partner management, and solution-oriented engagement with converters and brand owners.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Drive sales growth for HP Industrial flexible packaging solutions across the South region.
- Build and execute regional sales plans aligned with HP's industrial business objectives.
- Identify, generate, and qualify new business opportunities with converters, co-packers, and brand owners.
- Own the opportunity funnel, ensuring consistent pipeline coverage and forecast accuracy.
Partner Management & Enablement
- Manage and support authorized HP channel partners and resellers in the region.
- Enable partners through regular engagement, joint customer visits, training, and deal strategy discussions.
- Ensure partners generate validated opportunities aligned with HP qualification criteria.
- Support partners in proposal development, ROI justification, and solution positioning.
Opportunity Validation & Case Maturation
- Validate opportunities by assessing customer needs, application fit, volume potential, and investment readiness.
- Mature sales cases by driving technical evaluations, print trials, proof of concepts, and business case development.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address technical, commercial, and operational requirements.
- Ensure timely progression of opportunities from lead to closure.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage directly with key customers and decision-makers to influence buying decisions.
- Position HP's value proposition in digital flexible packaging, including productivity, sustainability, and time-to-market benefits.
- Act as the voice of the customer, providing market feedback to internal stakeholders.
Internal Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with HP technical, application, service, and marketing teams to ensure customer success.
- Maintain accurate CRM records for opportunities, forecasts, and partner activities.
- Provide regular sales performance, pipeline, and market intelligence reports.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Packaging Technology, Printing, Business, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent commercial qualification is an advantage.
Experience
- 812 years of experience in industrial B2B sales, preferably in flexible packaging, printing, converting, or industrial equipment.
- Proven experience managing channel partners and indirect sales models.
- Strong track record in solution selling and managing complex, high-value sales cycles.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills.
- Ability to validate and mature complex business cases.
- Solid understanding of flexible packaging workflows, substrates, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
