Position Overview:

We are currently seeking IP Buyer Assistant, to join our procurement team based in Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee and manage the responsibilities below.

Buyers for Onshore & Offshore projects in EPC/PMC/EPCM for Domestic /Group Project

Managing the complete purchasing cycle of allocated Material Requisitions to ensure in budget, in schedule and in quality execution.

  • Requires flexibility to work on PSU PMC/EPCM as well as EPC Projects
  • Generate Bidder Lists for allocated MRs
  • Sets up and manages enquiries and purchase orders using the Group IT Tools / Client Portals / GeM Portal
  • Follow-up of offers from suppliers
  • Carries out commercial and contractual evaluations up to supplier selection for both EPC Projects as well as as per client procedures
  • Ensures a close collaboration with Engineering to finalize technical and commercial clarifications within scheduled cycle
  • Compiles and issues purchase order via Group IT Tools or as per client guidelines, ensures acceptance without comments
  • Manages all changes of scope during the purchase order execution --> issue of amendments
  • Recovers applicable liquidated damages and back charges notified to the vendors
  • Manages close out of purchase orders and feedback on vendor performance
  • Follows invoicing approval process for inhouse EPC as well as EPCM Projects

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5-10 years of experience.

Languages: English (Fluent)

  • Skills in driving and leading problems to a resolution and must demonstrate ability to develop, improve and implement processes, policies and procedures that impacts the function.
