We are looking for a highly competent iOS / tvOS Developer to join our OTT engineering team. The ideal candidate has strong experience building high-performance video streaming applications and is deeply familiar with AVFoundation, DRM, and Apple platform architecture. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a large-scale OTT application with a focus on performance, scalability, playback reliability, and modern Swift best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain iOS and tvOS OTT applications

Implement and optimize video playback pipelines using AVFoundation

Integrate and maintain DRM-protected streaming (FairPlay preferred)

Work with HLS adaptive bitrate streaming and media caching

Architect modular and scalable codebases using Swift Package Manager (SPM)

Apply modern Swift concurrency (async/await, actors, structured concurrency)

Develop UI using: o SwiftUI o UIKit (programmatic UI only no Storyboards/XIBs)

Collaborate with backend, QA, DevOps, and product teams

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing Required Technical Skills (Must Have) Core Apple Platform

Strong proficiency in Swift

Solid experience with Xcode

Experience shipping production iOS and/or tvOS applications

Strong understanding of o App lifecycle o Memory management (ARC) o Multithreading and concurrency o Performance optimization Video & OTT (Critical)

Strong hands-on experience with AVFoundation

Experience implementing o HLS streaming o AVPlayer lifecycle management o Subtitles and audio track switching o Background playback & PiP

Experience integrating DRM (FairPlay preferred)

Understanding of adaptive bitrate streaming behavior Architecture & Modern Swift

Experience with Swift Package Manager (SPM)

Solid understanding of modular architecture

Proficiency with async/await and structured concurrency

Experience building UI fully in code (no Storyboards) Version Control (Mandatory)

Strong working knowledge of Git

Comfortable with: o Branching strategies (feature branches, release branches) o Pull requests o Rebasing and merging o Resolving merge conflicts

Experience collaborating via Git-based workflows in team environments Nice to Have Advanced Video / OTT

Deep knowledge of FairPlay license lifecycle

Offline HLS downloads using AVAssetDownloadURLSession

Playback performance tuning and bitrate optimization

DASH streaming knowledge Advanced Git & GitHub

Mastery of complex Git operations: o Interactive rebasing o Cherry-picking o Bisect o Reflog recovery o Submodules

Strong understanding of Git internals

Experience managing GitHub repositories: o Code review best practices o Branch protection rules o GitHub Actions o Repository security settings

Experience designing scalable Git workflows for large teams UI & Tooling

Production experience with SwiftUI

tvOS focus engine optimization

Experience using GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted coding tools

Familiarity with AI agents that enhance Swift development workflows
