Job Description

This role is to support a Singapore based asset management firm in the middle office operations. The shortlisted candidate will be based out of Crisil Pune office.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The IABOR Servicing Team is responsible for ensuring data integrity of IABOR data. This role will work closely with our middle office service provider to ensure pricing, transaction and position data generated out from middle office service provider IABOR is accurate for downstream usage and reporting.

This role has several key responsibilities:

  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly quality check (QC) check on IABOR pricing, transaction and position data across all Local Business Units (LBUs)
  • Investigate and resolve data breaks or mismatches between Aladdin and IABOR
  • Design and implement exception reporting and escalation procedure
  • Perform validation and reasonableness check on invoices received from our service providers and vendors to ensure accuracy and contractual compliance prior to raising payment for processing
  • Provide oversight and act as the first point of escalation for all matters within IABOR Servicing Team
  • Independently manage and resolve issues and escalations by stakeholders, including but not limited LBU Operations and middle office service provider
  • Support new transition activities, new instruments/ markets and other ad hoc projects as required
  • Act as subject matter expert for any projects/ new processes that rely upon or affect new product development
  • Incident management
  • Keep abreast of market updates and drive process changes within IABOR Servicing Team
  • Proactive management of risks and controls. Work closely with IABOR Servicing Team lead to ensure an effective control environment robust
  • Continual review and improvement in workflows, systems and processes through automation, innovation and adoption of new technologies

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5-10 years of experience working in Middle Office/ Operations in the Asset Management industry
  • Degree in Business/Finance or related disciplines
  • Strong understanding of asset management and fund accounting (FA) operations
  • Experience in using Aladdin preferred
  • Prior experience in managing outsourced service provider
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill to document process, communicate with stakeholders and share best practices
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High drive with a can-do attitude
  • A methodical thinker who will challenge and propose process enhancements
  • A good team player who collaborates and act as strategic partners to our internal and external counterparts
  • Strategic and big picture thinking
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adhere to variable deadlines.
