Position – Investment Analyst/ Associate
Summary:
The incumbent will be a part of the investment team of Neo Prime Fund which is a multi-asset private and public markets Cat II AIF, which invests across Private Equity, Private Credit, REITs/INVITs and listed markets. The fund will co-participate with various Neo Funds in these opportunities which sharp focus on selecting appropriate deals aligned with its own asset allocation. The role will be the key investment team member of the Neo Prime Fund and will involve evaluating various investment opportunities, developing sector/industry understanding/asset allocation understanding, preparing investment models and memos, working on deal execution and regular monitoring of the fund portfolio.
Job Responsibilities (Investment Analyst)
Supporting all aspects of fund management including investments, investor management, operational aspects of investments and fund management
Investments:
- Building asset allocation lead indicators and other nuances
- Liasing with all the funds of Neo group since this fund will co-participate in deals being originated by other funds
- Analysis of potential investment opportunities, including preparation of financial models
- Preparation of investment memos to be put up to Investment Committees
- Managing execution of deals of Neo Prime Fund including handling transaction documentation, updating relevant MIS systems with deal data
Portfolio Management:
- Liaising with portfolio companies to update financial models and support exit decisions
- Engaging with external agencies such as valuation agencies to calculate valuations of companies
- Liaising with operations team for accurate NAV, IRRs, etc. of the fund
- Keeping the cashflow fund models updated
- Managing risk limits of the fund
Investor Management:
- Supporting fund raise by creating marketing collateral for the fund for the investor relations team to use
- Creating quarterly investor updates
- Preparation of various communications to be sent out to investors
Academic Qualification and Experience:
- Qualification - Chartered Accountant or MBA
- Experience - 1-5 years
- Field of Experience – Experience with financial models in equities/debt – either in sell side research or investment banking or other such field
Knowledge, Competency and Skills requirement:
- In depth understanding of Financial Statements
- Proficiency with MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to create/gather/analyze data
