Roles & Responsibilities:
Inventory Control:
o Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and invoices.
o Accurately record inventory transactions using manual or computerized inventory management systems.
o Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or excesses.
o Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste, obsolescence, and shrinkage.
o Participate in regular stock takes and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Stock Management:
o Organize and store goods in designated warehouse locations, optimizing space utilization and accessibility. o Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment.
o Ensure proper handling and storage of goods to prevent damage or deterioration.
o Coordinate the movement of inventory within the warehouse, including picking, packing, and dispatching orders
Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, stock movements, and adjustments.
o Generate reports on inventory levels, stock turnover, and other relevant metrics.
o Assist in the preparation of inventory forecasts
Collaboration and Communication:
o Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, sales, and production, to ensure smooth inventory flow.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; relevant certifications in inventory management or supply chain logistics are a plus.
Experience: Proven experience working in an inventory control or warehouse environment.
Skills:
o Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
o Proficiency in using inventory management software and databases.
o Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
o Attention to detail and accuracy.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
