Overview: The Inventory Executive is responsible for managing hospital stores (drug, pharmacy, equipment, consumables, and general supplies) by ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of materials. The role supports clinical and non-clinical departments with timely supplies while maintaining proper records, stock levels, and compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming items (medicines, equipment, consumables, and general goods).
- Store materials systematically, ensuring safety, labelling, FIFO/FEFO, and proper conditions.
- Issue supplies to user departments based on approved requisitions.
- Maintain accurate stock records (ERP/manual) and prepare consumption reports.
- Monitor stock levels, expiry, and raise replenishment requests.
- Support audits and regulatory compliance (NABH/JCI).
- Ensure hygiene, security, and proper disposal of obsolete/expired items.
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate in any stream.
- Diploma/Certification in Materials Management, Logistics, or Inventory Control.
- 2+ years of experience in hospital/institutional storekeeping.
- Knowledge of ERP/inventory systems, stock control, and expiry management.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
