Job Description

Position Summary

The Inventory & Revenue Accountant is responsible for managing, analyzing, and accurately reporting all financial activities related to inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and revenue recognition. This role ensures integrity of financial records, supports monthly and quarterly close processes, and collaborates closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, and FP&A to deliver timely and reliable financial information

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Accounting

  • Monitor, reconcile, and analyze inventory balances.
  • Perform monthly inventory close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and variance analysis.
  • Review and validate inventory transactions (receipts, adjustments, transfers, writeoffs).
  • Partner with Operations to perform cycle counts, physical counts, and investigate discrepancies.

Revenue Accounting

  • Process, reconcile, and validate revenue transactions in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Prepare monthend revenue journals, deferrals, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor sales orders, shipments, invoicing, and returns to ensure accurate cutoff and completeness.
  • Work with Sales and Commercial teams to evaluate revenue impacts of promotions, programs, and customer agreements.
  • Subscription revenue tracking (ZUORA) and Revenue reconciliation (GL vs REVPRO)
  • Responsible to work on the ETP MCC pass back

Financial Reporting & Controls

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for inventory, deferred revenue, and related accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits, providing schedules, documentation, and explanations.

Qualifications

  • University degree, preferably in Finance and Accounting.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, ideally with exposure to inventory, cost accounting, or revenue processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
  • Very good level of written and spoken English (knowledge of any other language will be an advantage)
