Inventor CAD Engineer

The Inventor Mechanical Engineer will develop and maintain template-driven 3D models and validate all 3D automation outputs for accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with design standards. Create and maintain Autodesk Inventor part templates iParts and assembly templates iAssemblies Define design intent, parameters, constraints, and feature logic required for automation. Collaborate with engineering teams to capture geometry rules, connection details, and standard component libraries. Validate automated 3D models generated via VB.NETInventor API against approved engineering standards. Ensure that models follow best practices for manufacturability and drawing generation. Support the automation developer with test cases, edge conditions, and geometry validation scenarios. Participate in requirement workshops, design reviews, and sign-off activities as the 3D modeling subject matter expert. Required Skills Experience Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, including iParts, iAssemblies, and parameter-driven modeling. Strong understanding of structural steel design and fabrication, especially signgantry structures. Experience preparing fabrication-ready 3D models and associated documentation. Ability to interpret and validate engineering calculations and drawings. Familiarity with CAD automation workflows and exposure to Inventor API concepts nice to have. Strong attention to detail and commitment to model quality and consistency. Effective communication skills and ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams
