Role & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) including chronic total occlusions, bifurcation stenting, and multivessel interventions.
- Deliver structural and device-based interventions (as per programme), lead catheter-based procedures using transfemoral and transradial access, and manage procedural complications.
- Lead peri-procedural patient management: pre-procedure risk assessment, intraprocedural hemodynamic monitoring, and post-procedure care including antiplatelet and anticoagulation strategies.
- Utilise intracoronary imaging and physiology (IVUS, OCT, FFR/iFR) to optimise lesion assessment and stent deployment strategies.
- Maintain cath lab quality standards: procedure documentation, infection control, device inventory oversight, and adherence to clinical governance protocols.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgery, anesthesiology, critical care and imaging teams; participate in on-call rota and mentor junior cardiology staff and trainees.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must-Have Recognised postgraduate qualification in cardiology - DM / DrNB.
- Must-Have Valid medical registration to practise in India and current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
