Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
- Assist in designing IoT/ embedded firmware for SOS-enabled disaster recovery wearable devices
- Work on BLE, LoRaWAN, GPS, and RF modules for multichannel emergency communication
- Develop and test SOS trigger logic for reliable signal transmission during disasters
- Support PCB bring-up, hardware debugging, and sensor integration activities
- Write and test device drivers for communication modules and peripherals.
- Optimise power consumption for long battery life in emergency scenarios
- Perform unit testing and field-testing of SOS communication reliability
- Assist in basic ML algorithms for movement, fall, or distress detection
- Debug firmware issues using logs, JTAG, UART, and logic analysers
- Document system design, test cases, and daily development progress
